De Hot Wax combineert twee legendarische EHX-overdrives — de Crayon en Hot Tubes — in één veelzijdig pedaal. Beide kanalen zijn afzonderlijk of gestapeld te gebruiken voor een breed scala aan klanken. De Blend-regeling mengt clean en overstuurd signaal, terwijl de gezamenlijke Bass- en Treble-EQ precieze controle bieden. Van subtiele blues-overdrive tot felle moderne crunch: de Hot Wax reageert warm, dynamisch en muzikaal.
